COVID-19 Symptoms and Exposures: Know Where to Go

With schools back open, more children are being exposed to the COVID-19 virus. As a result, our Cook Children's Emergency Department has seen a huge increase in the number of parents bringing in children who have been exposed to COVID-19 but show no symptoms. We understand your concerns, however, children who aren’t critically-injured or ill should go instead to their pediatrician or a COVID-19 testing site.

If your child has been exposed to COVID-19 but has no symptoms or minor symptoms, you can take them to a testing site. The Department of Health and Human Services /Texas Department of Emergency Services has a quick tool for finding a location near you.
